About Chiang Mai Food Tour
A guide for hungry evenings in Chiang Mai
Chiang Mai Food Tour is an independent guide for everyone who travels to Chiang Mai to eat. Here you will find how the food tours compare, what happens in a Thai cooking class and which class suits you, how vegetarians and families get on, which night markets to walk, which northern dishes to order, where to find khao soi and what the MICHELIN Guide actually lists for the city.
The site is available in English and five additional languages. It is written first in English.
How we research
Every number on our pages comes from a source that we link to at the bottom of the page: mostly the Tourism Authority of Thailand and the MICHELIN Guide's own pages for Chiang Mai, with temperatures and rain days from the WMO normals of the Chiang Mai station of the Thai Meteorological Department. Information on tours and classes, that is duration, group size, inclusions, dietary notes and starting prices, is taken from the offers on Viator and GetYourGuide. If a source does not provide something, we do not write it.
Food is personal, and a menu changes from night to night. That is why we tell you plainly what a listing promises, what it leaves to the market, and which tours and classes say outright that they cannot cook meat-free.
How we make money
Chiang Mai Food Tour is funded through the GetYourGuide and Viator affiliate programs. When you book through one of our links, we receive a commission; your price remains the same. There are no advertising banners here, and we do not sell your data.
Who is behind it
Chiang Mai Food Tour is run by Lukas Weber from Munich. You will find all details about the provider in the legal notice. The easiest way to send questions, comments, or corrections is to email [email protected].
